Microsoft 365 Pricing Changes per April 2025
Starting April 1, 2025, Microsoft will implement a pricing update that affects all new and renewing monthly billing plans for annual subscriptions. The key change is a 5% price increase for monthly billing plans compared to the annual billing option
Prices for yearly subscriptions with monthly payment will increase with 5% per April 1, 2025
This means that every yearly subscription with monthly payment will have a price increase of 5% upon renewal date. You have the option to renew licenses and change the payment to an annual payment – to avoid this price increase.

By opting for annual billing plans, you can avoid the 5% increase and benefit from more stable and predictable costs.
Renew early and save
Renewing annual subscriptions early can be beneficial in some situations because it allows you to delay the 5% price increase. This 5% increase then takes effect on the next renewal (2026). As always – the Universal team is here to advise and assist you.
Updating pricing for Microsoft Teams Phone and Power BI
Microsoft will also be updating the pricing for Microsoft Teams Phone Standard, Power BI Pro, and Power BI Premium per user starting on April 1, 2025. Microsoft states that this marks the first price increase for both standalone products since Teams Phone was launched in 2017 and Power BI in 2015.
New prices for annual subscriptons / annual payment - starting April 1, 2025
Below prices will be for annual subscription and payments, if you choose a monthly payment the price increase of another 5% applies.
- Teams Phone Standard licenses will be $10 per user per month
- Power BI Pro licenses will be $14 per user per month
- Power BI Premium Per User licenses will be $24 per user per month
