Changes to Microsoft Enterprise Suites and Teams

Microsoft has announced important changes to Enterprise suite licensing that affect how Teams is bundled with Microsoft 365.

Key changes

Enterprise suites that previously had Teams unbundled are now available again with Teams included. This change affects:

  • Microsoft 365 E3 and E5
  • Office 365 E1, E3, and E5
  • Microsoft 365 Business Basic, Standard, and Premium

What you need to do

If your organization has been managing separate Teams licenses, now is the time to review your licensing setup to ensure compliance and optimize costs.

Recommended actions: 1. Audit your current license assignments 2. Review which users have standalone Teams licenses 3. Consider consolidating to bundled suites where appropriate 4. Contact Universal Cloud for a licensing review

Our team can help you navigate these changes and ensure your organization is properly licensed while maximizing value.
