What’s new in this new uWebChat release?
Rich Presence: Smarter, faster, more accurate
- Instant updates to availability status in uWebChat Voice.
- Full support for all Teams Presence states: Available, Busy, In a Meeting, Do Not Disturb, Be Right Back, Away, and Offline.
- The option to override presence for specific users or numbers using the “Always Available” setting.
This enhancement ensures your team’s availability is always accurately reflected—improving internal collaboration and customer responsiveness.

New: Authorization via the uWebChat Teams App
To retrieve real-time presence data, your organization must authorize access via Microsoft’s Graph API. This is now handled directly through the uWebChat Teams App, developed by Universal Cloud and officially approved by Microsoft for distribution via the Teams App Store.
- If Universal is your managed Cloud Solution Partner, no action is required—we’ll handle the deployment and authorization.
- If not, simply search for uWebChat in the Teams App Store, install the app, type “help” in the chat window, and follow the steps to authorize. Our team is ready to assist you throughout the process.
Live Chat now Included in your Voice Pro License
If you’re using the uWebChat Voice Pro license, you already have access to several chat agents—meaning you can now add Live Web Chat to your website, customer portal, or webshop at no extra cost.
